My boyfriend just moved up to Idaho from California and has been looking for work for almost 4 months. We live in Nampa and he’s willing to commute to get to work.

How does the general public react to people with alternative lifestyles? Is it possible to get a good job in Boise if you have tattoos & piercings, or are gay, or are of an unpopular religion? Are the people in Idaho generally okay with different types of people? Are the religious people overbearing or are they more live and let live?

Ive been looking into moving to Boise, and I havent spent much more then weekends there. I grew up in North Idaho and lived in Vegas and loved them both. Where is a good are to find a decent priced apartment that will be safe and close access to the the city and colleges? What is the job market like? What will I be looking at for rent in a 1bd room?

I graduated from college as an M.A. and I am worry I wont find a job.

With no big cities in the nearby area, how would you rate this city to live with regards to job, weather, raising children, schools, colleges, clubbing, grocery etc pretty much everything.

My company is closing it’s center in AZ and I have a choice of going to Des Moines IA, Pocatello ID or Boise ID. Give me some opinions. (I’m not going to Iowa)
