i seriously doubt anyone would risk their job to give you a free room. i manage a hotel and our housekeeping staff inspects non-registered rooms daily, and they would be very suspicious as to how a non-registered room became dirty. with most properties having electronic locks these days, the manager could easily do an audit on the lock and see exactly when the key was made and who made it. so regardless of whether you were caught, the hotel clerk would most likely lose their job. if you were caught you would probably be arrested. (in which case i guess you would have a place to stay in jail)

I happen to live in Boise, Idaho. I know of a hotel that gives out free hotel rooms. They also give out free soup, bread, and sometimes let you talk to pastor’s about Jesus. I think you have to be a bum though to qualify.

You can stop at a welcome center and get a coupon book you can save up to 45% off hotel rooms…or you could always sleep under the stars in your car that is really cheap….
