Giants upset Patriots?
Boise State over the Sooners?
America beats Russia in Hockey?
Micheal Jordan and Bulls beat buzzard to win Finals?
What is your opinion?
I have to say the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, where the Boise State Broncos beat the mighty Oklahoma Sooners on the last play in overtime, a “Statue of Liberty” play for the game-winning 2-point conversion. It was the best game ever played.

I would love to see Michael Jordan beat up a buzzard.
the tuck rule game
pats vs. raiders in 2001 playoff game in foxboro, new england
from the choices i have to go with America beating Russia in the Olympics something like that is hard to beat
“Miracle on Ice” was a pretty historic event, considering that we were against the Soviet Union.
I think that it is when America beat the Soviet Union in hockey. The American team was a bunch of college kids who never played together before, while the russians where a group of veteran hockey players who have been playing together for a long time. Plus the russians didnt lose a game in like 7 years. No one expected the Americans to even make it to the medal rounds and everyone expected the Soviets to win the gold but the Americans proved everyone wrong.
USA vs. USSR in the 1980 Olympics is by far the greatest event. No none of your other choices was that much of an underdog against such an overwhelming favorite.
With the others you mentioned, they were at least peers (all in college or all pros). You have to remember that back then the Americans were amateurs, just out of college. The USSR were amateurs in name only, they all were officially in the army but their job was to play hockey. The American team was together for a few months, the Soviet team trained together for years.
The only one even close was one you didn’t mention: The Miracle on the Mat in Sydney 2000. Rulan Gardner (USA) beat Alexander Karelin (RUS) 1-0 for the gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling. Karelin hadn’t lost in 200 matches and hadn’t given only allowed one point to be scored on him in 10 years. He was more dominant than the Soviet hockey team.
Greatest sports events aren’t always upset..

for those who don’t know
it was a series of 8 hockey games played in Canada and Russia (USSR back then) where Canada was thought to crush the Russians only to be upset in the first few games on Canadian soil, to the dramatic come back series win where Paul Henderson scored the winning, series clinching goal with a min and some seconds left in the final game in Moscow.
One of those parts in history where you know exactly where you were when that goal was scored, for Canadians at least.
And I wasn’t born ’til way after that
have to say MJ’s many buzzer beaters.

i like to be unbiased with these type of questions… so ill go with an event that i actually watched, one that gave me goose bumps, and one that had the crowd on their feet the entire time…got one… 2004, divisional playoff game, denver broncos at new england patriots… patriots goin down to take the lead and inches from the goal line, champ bailey intercepts a pass and returns it 100 yards and doesn’t score… fun fact longest play in history where no points were accumulated
Patriots falling to the Giants. Still can’t get over that.
